THE PROJECT
RASGO is an independent artistic and technical field for creating instruments, music software, sound research and future hardware. It connects musical practice, software design, sound design and technical research.
Each project keeps its own history, authorship, license and identity while sharing an interest in gesture, material, memory and transformation.
The website is the public and editorial layer. Repositories remain the technical and versioned layer of each project.
INSTRUMENTS
RELATED AUTHORIAL PROJECT · PUBLISHED
A performance instrument developed by the author for cutting, recombining and transforming sound sources. Navalha 2 is related to the author's practice, but is maintained outside the RASGO Instruments family. Its JUCE/C++ migration and Pure Data/web reference remain separate projects.

An authorial instrument and an important conceptual precursor to later RASGO research. Today it is also a standalone JUCE/C++ sound object, downloadable and multiplatform.

Technical: realtime audio, deterministic processes, efficient algorithms, signal analysis and future embedded hardware.
Pedagogical: tools and documentation that make musical decisions visible and invite listening rather than automation without direction.
SUPPORT THE WORK
This work is developed autonomously by an artist-researcher and financed out of pocket, with no external funding so far. Support and contributions will support development, testing, documentation, infrastructure and preservation.

CREDITS
RASGO was created by Lúcio Araújo, an independent artist-researcher working across music, sound, software and experimental instruments. Concept, direction, DSP, interfaces and the editorial project are his own work.
The practice moves between composition, listening, coding, technical investigation, documentation and the construction of instruments that can make musical decisions visible.
